E-cigarettes are incredibly popular, especially with teenagers and young adults.  While it is touted as being a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes, e-cigarette use, or vaping, is not without risk.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), e-cigarette use may actually be more dangerous than other tobacco products.  In fact, vaping has an alarming number of side effects. Drug and Device Watch has created this graphic to illustrate just how vaping affects the body:

Nationwide Concern

The side effects of tobacco use are well known, but researchers and health experts have a great deal of concern about how vaping affects the body.  Reports of the physical and mental side effects are alarming at best.

By now most everyone is familiar with the vaping-related illness outbreak.  The CDC is reporting increasing numbers of illness and death. So far, the outbreak is impacting 49 states, the District of Columbia, and one U.S. territory.

The CDC is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to find the cause of the illness, but no definitive cause has been identified.  Further, traditional treatment methods are not always effective for respiratory symptoms.
